Toronto

Toronto is always a great idea…

Bustling with chic cafes, umpteen of the moment rooftop lounges, and of course Michelin starred restaurants. With so much to see and places to be seen in Toronto one is compelled to cover more than one spot per evening and still get home without your Chanel number 5 loosing it’s nose.

Arrive from the airport with just enough time to change my shoes to catch our 7:30 reservations at the Ace Hotel lounge. Orders of East Coast oysters paired perfectly paired with a Chardonnay from Ontario. Then it was on to our 8:45 dinner reservation at Gia, a plant forward restaurant with so may sumptuous plant-based choices.

Day 2

My go to coffee drink, Cortado, to start my day at the newly open Beatrice Society Cafe. And then off to Elle fitness studio with my daughter for a quick one hour class (to work off the food and wine from last night, and to make room for tonight’s offerings).

A quick stop at the Four Seasons Hotel for cocktails and then it was on to dinner at the Michelin Guide, Adrak, elevated Indian food. It was superb, and worthy of a trip.

Day 3

A drive out of the City. Our first stop the beautiful, & exquisite, The Pearle Hotel and Spa, Autograph Collection in Burlington, Ontario, for a most delicious brunch (the roasted mushrooms & my Daughters swooned over the Banana Bread French Toast.)

Our next stop was the Rosewood Vineyard where we enjoyed a few wine flights, paired with cheeses, dried fruits and their signature honey comb (they are also Bee farmers). Yes I did stock up on some honey, smoked, spicy, creamed, and wildflowers.

Day 4

We started our day running the Toronto Challenge 5K, got in some shopping and then dinner at Paris Paris, my 3rd visit. My Daughters swear by the Roasted half chicken with piri piri sauce, and I by the french fries, and the kale salad without the egg yolk.

For dessert…

We joined the long unending line for ice cream (also vegan flavors) at Bang Bang Ice Cream Bakery. The bread pudding, the bread pudding, and the bread pudding, heavenly.

Day 5

“Rainy days and Mondays …” Rained all day so it was the perfect day to stay indoor, luckily Beatrice is close by so my morning Cortado was had and packing was done.

Dinner was take out Pasta and Pizza from Gusto Italian Restaurant .

Day 6

Au revoir Toronto, until we meet again.
